Want to write a book and have so many ideas but don’t know where to start. We use a 3-Part Template to help you organize your thoughts.
Have a book idea and outline already but need help in improving it. Or you need to hear an editor’s or publisher’s point of view.
Have an incomplete (ongoing manuscript) and want an editor’s or publisher’s opinion on the writing aspect.
Have a complete manuscript already but don’t know where to start to get the book published in a printed (paperback) or digital (ebook) format.
Have an edited manuscript already but want to know what the next steps are to publish the book in printed or digital format.
Have an edited and designed PDF book already and want to inquire how much to have it printed. You can also check our Book Printing Only option.
Have a printed book and/or ebook already but need tips in distributing, marketing, and selling it.
This service is also for aspiring authors who have unfortunate publishing experience in the past and need a second opinion on how to get it right.

INCLUSIONS

One-on-one consultation about book writing and self-publishing for one whole month.
You can ask Kath C. Eustaquio-Derla, the Head of Publishing for HS Grafik Print and founder of PaperKat Books, about book writing and self-publishing processes, tips, techniques, and best practices.
This means that for one whole month, you get direct access to a mentor and experience a slice of what it’s like to be a PaperKat Books’ Boldie (mentee).
1-month access to our PaperKat Books Learning Series modules that talk about our book writing and self-publishing processes.
1-month access to the replays of PaperKat Books webinars via exclusive Facebook Groups.
When necessary, we will connect you with our other consultants and success partners who can help you with your projects.

We will edit the following for free if you can provide them during the one-month consultation.

Synopsis or Summary (typically 1,000 words each)
Book Description (typically 100-125 words)
1 or 2 Book Blurb/s (typically 20 words each)
Author Profile (typically 100 words)
The first 1,000 words in your manuscript (whether or not the manuscript is complete)

TERMS & CONDITIONS

This consultation is via email only. We do not do phone call consultations in PaperKat Books. Everything is done via email so the exchange of messages is tracked or documented.
Video calls and/or face-to-face consultations are exclusive for PaperKat Books Boldies (mentees). We will resume face-to-face or group consultations after the pandemic for safety reasons.
If you prefer video calls or face-to-face consultations, please consider enrolling in the All-In PaperKat Books Mentoring Program so you can also collaborate with fellow mentees who can help you market your book/s.
This one-month mentoring is self-paced. This means that you need to be proactive. We can only answer your questions if you ask them.
After the one-month consultation and you decide to enroll in the one-year mentoring program, we will give you PHP5,000 off the full mentoring rate.

HOW TO ENROLL & TERMS OF PAYMENT

Please email your intent to enroll to kceustaquio@gmail.com along with your short pitch. Tell us who you are, what you do, and what book you want to write. Please include the challenges you are facing so we can decide the right service to provide.
Once your pitch is accepted, we will email you a formal contract for the one-month consultation with payment details.
The consultation fee should be paid in full. This is our way of ensuring that you won’t back out of the one-month consultation. Part of being a self-published author is having grit. This is our way of training our future success stories to commit to a course of action.
Upon payment of the full fee, we will give you access to the dedicated email for the one-month consultation.

IMPORTANT NOTES

We don’t do actual editing, design, publishing, printing, or marketing during this one-month consultation. Instead, we will share with you the best practices, techniques, and tips for each one so you can execute them on your own.
