Regardless of the rise of online reading platforms such as Amazon Kindle, Google Play, and more, having a printed version of your book puts your work on a pedestal. And based on our experience, many readers still prefer printed books over ebooks.

This stand-alone service is for people with “camera-ready” (ready-to-print) materials. We don’t have a minimum quantity for printing. We only print what you need based on your budget.

In PaperKat Books, we do not have a “one-size-fits-all” package for book printing. Instead, we create a customized book printing cost based on your specifications. We are focused on creating high-quality, self-published books that you and your readers can be proud of.

to get a quotation (costing), we need the following book specifications

Size of the book in inches: Our standard size is 8.5 x 5.5 inches
Total number of inside pages: It should be divisible by 8 or 16 for cost efficiency)
Cover: Full-color or black-and-white printing?
Inside Pages: Full-color or black-and-white printing?
Type of paper: Our standard paper for the cover is C2s 180#. For the inside pages, we use Book 60# white.
Binding: Perfect binding
Finishing: Hardbound or softbound (paperback)?
Cover Lamination: Matte or glossy? Our standard is matte (not shiny).
Quantity: We don’t have a minimum. But most of our clients order 300 copies.

We give 1 free bookmark for every printed book. You can provide your own design or we use your front book cover to create the bookmark for you.
For orders 300 and above, we give 8 to 10 free copies.

To print your book, we need the following:

Front cover, back cover, and spine (sometimes called gazette) in PDF or JPEG format.
Inside pages in PDF format (starting at Page 1, complete with page numbers)
All files must be in CMYK color specification.
Files need to be camera-ready (designed already) and in high-resolution. We do not print pixelated or blurred materials.

This service doesn't include the following:

Editing and design assistance. We only offer book cover and inside pages design/layout under the All-In PaperKat Books Mentoring Program.
We don’t proofread. We only print your “camera-ready” (ready-print) materials.
We don’t put “Published by HS Grafik Print” on the copyright page. Only books that are edited and designed by our team will be considered published by HS Grafik Print (the name of the publishing company, PaperKat Books is the brand of self-published books that we produce).
We don’t apply for your ISBN. We only apply for the ISBN for books that are edited and designed by our team. You can work with another company to procure your ISBN. Only registered publishing companies can apply for a book’s ISBN because there are business requirements needed including BIR Certificate of Registration with “publishing” services, DTI Certificate, Mayor’s Permit, and more.
We don’t promote your work in our website, social media pages, or Lazada Store. If you want promotions and marketing/selling assistance, you can enroll in the All-In PaperKat Books Mentoring Program.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Once we receive your book specifications, we will send you the quotation via email.
If you agree to the costs, we will send a formal printing quotation that we will co-sign.
The formal printing quotation includes the bank details where you can send the payment.
We require a 50% down payment before we start printing. The balance can be settled one day before or upon delivery of the products.
We only create a mock sample for orders that are 100 pieces and above.
Because of the pandemic, we deliver via Lalamove, Grab, or Tok Tok.

FAQS

Q: Can you fix any design or grammatical errors in my book before printing?

A: No, all files for the book printing service need to be ready for printing. You can work with other editors, designers, and proofreaders before sending your work to us. When you send it to us, all we do is print the book. And we are not liable for any design or grammatical errors.

Q: Why can’t you put “Published by HS Grafik Print” on the copyright page? If you print my book, aren’t you the publisher too?

A: Printing and publishing are different. Some people think they’re the same, but they are not. Printing is just one aspect of publishing. There are many steps involved in self-publishing, which we explain and do in the All-In Mentoring Program.

Since we did not edit and design your book, we are not liable for any errors that are not corrected in your book before printing. The books published under our mentoring program go through a series of stringent processes before we print them. Editing, designing, proofreading, and beta reading require a team. This way we are confident that we have checked everything before we print anything.

Q: Can you apply for my ISBN even if you’re not my publisher?

A: We can’t because we are not your publisher. We only printed your book. Therefore, we are just your printer. Publishers and printers are different. Also, one of the requirements for the ISBN application is a PDF copy of the copyright page where you put the name, address, and contact details of the publisher. We only apply for the ISBN of books that went through the mentoring program.

Q: Can you at least post a photo of my book on your Facebook and Instagram accounts?

A: As a kind gesture, yes we can. However, we need to be clear that it was printed by HS Grafik Print, not published. Sorry about this but publishing and printing are totally different so we need to be careful.

The book PRINTing option
is purely printing.
