Allene is a published fiction author, registered psychologist, and psychometrician based in Metro Manila. Her diverse work experiences in teaching ESL to Korean students, working an 8-to-5 office job in a Japanese IT company, helping with their family business operations (while pursuing Clinical Psychology in grad school), teaching psychology classes at the tertiary level, and working as a psychology professional have exposed her to people from different walks of life where she gained more profound insights and understanding of the inner workings of human beings. 

As a psychologist, she gravitates toward helping individuals facilitate their healing and personal growth through psychotherapy. She also provides talks and seminars to bridge the accessibility to psychological help for mental health needs and advocate for psychological well-being.

As a fiction author, she aims to depict human conditions, challenge society’s preconceived notions, and cultivate compassionate understanding through the stories she writes. In any genre she writes, she tackles psychological and existential concerns to encourage self-reflection toward healing and inspire change for a better society.

She is one of the co-authors of Dystopia Manila, a collection of dystopian, science fiction stories that tackle climate change.
