On July 13, 2019, I talked about book writing and self-publishing at Estanica Mall in Capital Commons, Pasig City.

My goal? To make people understand that book writing is for all. You don’t have to be Best In English to write a book. Every person has a story to tell. There are a lot of writers out there but only you can write your story the way you do.

Same goes, there are many book writing mentors out there, better and more popular than yours truly. Do I feel threatened? Do I feel small? Nope. Buti nalang makapal ang mukha ko from the start.

But seriously, I don’t dwell in comparison and competition. I’m obsessed in inspiring people to pursue self-publishing with my team’s help (a team of editors, graphic designers, and marketers). I’m focused on building a strong team who can help self-published authors from start (outlining) to finish (marketing, selling).

I realized that many people can teach book writing. But only I can do it the way that I do. I’m not the type of book writing mentor who will tell you to set aside time every single night (2 hours?) to write. Nope, not my style. I watch Netflix every night. I knit (yes, I do, di lang halata). I do everything except write, hehe. But when I do write, I write 4 chapters straight in one sitting.
